The Museum of Communism offers an insightful exploration of life under Communist rule in Czechoslovakia, covering aspects like daily life, politics and history. The exhibition includes mock-ups of a worker's workshop, a school classroom, and an interrogation room, providing an authentic feel of the era. Visitors can also view photographs, films, and sculptures documenting state-sponsored terrorism during this period.

The Old Wastewater Treatment Plant, operational from 1906 to 1967, now showcases the evolution of architecture, technology and water management. It was a key part of Prague's modern sewer system, designed to collect and treat wastewater before discharging it into the Vltava river, significantly improving public health and aiding the city's development. Today, the site, managed by Tovarna z.ú., hosts exhibitions, concerts and themed events, featuring operational steam engines and showcasing the original machinery and craftsmanship. The plant is a National Cultural Monument of the Czech Republic, an anchor point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage, and a UNESCO candidate.

The narrow pavements and neoclassical buildings of Ladadika host plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes and cute boutiques. The area from Salaminos street to YMCA Park is known as Ladadika Quarter. This is an old quarter that starts at the waterfront and goes a few blocks inland up to Tsimiski Avenue that is busy with international and local brand shops. The northwestern part of the area, closer to the First Pier, is a bit more subdued, with less mainstream bars and fewer shops available. As you go southwest, the area becomes more and more lively, and finally brings you to the iconic White Tower.

Convict Lumber Yard was once an industrial workplace for prisoners. This museum now houses sculptures and charts that will bring you back about a hundred years and show you what a convict's life was like. You can also get an insight into the development of the local settlement.
