One of Asia’s greatest hotels and a Philippine landmark built in 1909. The Manila Hotel is a five star hotel that has played a pivotal role in the nation’s history, and was US General MacArthur’s headquarters in World War II. The hotel is located along the Manila Bay.

Port Zante is the largest cruise port in Saint Kitts and Nevis. The pier area consists of three separate piers designated for cruise ships. The pier area can currently accommodate up to four large cruise ships simultaneously. On busy days, when more than four ships arrive, the ships without a pier either use the cargo port or tender passengers ashore. The Port terminal includes various amenities such as restaurants, shops, cafes and a car park. The port's location could not be better, as it is only a short ten-minute walk to downtown Basseterre or "The Circus" as the locals call it. There is a duty-free shopping area where passengers can buy different goods tax-free. However, in order to benefit from this duty-free rates, local vendors might ask for a proof of non-residence such as a cruise ship card, a foreign driver's license, or a passport.

Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei, or just Spinnerei, opened in 1884 as the largest cotton mill in continental Europe. Today, the revamped industrial space hosts art galleries, architecture and design studios, cafes and restaurants, Luru Kino arthouse cinema, Residenz and Lofft theatres, and Internationales Choreografisches Zentrum Leipzig (ICZ).

Saint Martin Carnival is one of the island's cultural highlights, where locals and tourists get together in the streets to sing, dance, make music, throw confetti and have a good time watching the lively parade. Both Marigot and Philipsburg are decorated in colourful feathers and glitter for the whole carnival month. On the French side, the carnival takes place in February and until early March. On the Dutch side, the carnival is celebrated from mid-April until early May.
