Experience one of the world's oldest theatrical forms – Noh – at the oldest operational theatre of its kind in Osaka. Opt for the "Kamigata Night” programme to acquaint yourself with all of Kansai Region's traditional performing arts, such as the famed Kabuki, Bunraku Puppet Theatre, Rakugo, and, of course, Noh. The stylish theatre hosts shows in both English and Japanese (the latter are often accompanied by explanatory materials in English, Chinese and Korean), and offers visitors a unique opportunity to attend workshops conducted by professional artists.

Travel back in time and board Brunel’s ss Great Britain. Brunel’s engineering masterpiece was the world’s first great ocean going liner and has been lovingly restored to her former Victorian glory. Check the website for upcoming special events, like discovery talks and storytellings.

Another must-see attraction is the Chen Ancestral Shrine, which has a history of more than 100 years. The hall was once an ancestral shrine, initially built in 1888 and completed in 1894. Later, it turned to Chen Clan’s Industry College, and today it is home to the Guangdong Folk Arts Museum that exhibits a variety of folk arts and crafts.

Fjätervålen mountain is where both beginners and advanced skiers find their delight. The vastness of the skiing area relative to the number of guests means it never feels crowded, and the slopes don't get overused. Perfect for smooth carving, but also a favourite spot for many alpine clubs for training and competitions. The slopes meet international FIS norms for slalom, giant slalom, and women's super-G. The fact that all slopes converge in one place is a definite advantage. Everyone can ski their favourite slope, but it's always easy to find each other again at the foot of the mountain.
