The Conservatory features six greenhouses and hosts multiple species of flora, such as orchids, cacti, banana and palm trees, and more. Events at the Conservatory are often marked with beautiful flower and plant arrangements.

Tucked behind Verona's Cathedral, the Biblioteca Capitolare is one of the oldest libraries still running anywhere in the world. Some of the manuscripts here are from the early Middle Ages, and you can usually visit with a short guided tour.

The main entrance to the Archaeological Museum of Istria (Arheoloski Muzej Istre) is actually one of the original gates that served as an entry point into the old Roman town. The museum carries a fascinating range of archaeological artefacts from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages from the region. You will find architectural highlights on the ground floor, Neolithic and Roman era finds on the first floor, Roman antiquities and medieval period artefacts on the second floor. Due to reconstruction works, closed during 2018 and beginning 2019.

Built as a miniature of the Hagia Sophia in Constantinople in the 7th century, the cathedral contains beautiful Byzantine frescoes and mosaics. Agia Sofia is one of the oldest churches in the city still standing today and is included as a World Heritage Site on the UNESCO list.
