The building of what once was an Art Deco swimming pool has now been turned into a fine/applied arts museum (La Piscine Musée d'Art et d'Industrie), classical sculptures and busts lining the filled-up pool in a bizarre yet curious presentation.

Founded in the 16th century by the Spanish, Rincón is the oldest settlement not only of Bonaire but the entire Dutch Caribbean. Its location, in the valley, once provided shelter from pirates. Today, it offers great hiking options with breathtaking views. As a cultural centre, it is home to attractions such as the rock formations of Gruta Lourdes, a pilgrimage site, and the Kas Krioyo, an authentic Bonairean building that currently houses a museum. The island's only distillery, Cadushy, is also located here, and it is worth timing your visit so you can celebrate with the locals on Rincón Day on 30 April.

Here and there around the inner city, you will find secluded fig trees covered in fairy lights. Perfect location for a romantic moment or a little photoshoot. With almost 700,000 hectares of outstanding beauty, this spectacular national park contains Australia's five highest alps, glacial lakes, limestone caves, grasslands and woodlands. The park is recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and contains plants not found anywhere else on the Earth.
