Taking place in February, the Sapporo Snow Festival is an impressive event. Huge snow sculptures, one more fascinating than the next, dot Odori Park; some require a staggering 500 trucks filled with snow to be built.

Science Oxford was founded in 1985, as The Oxford Trust by Sir Martin and Lady Audrey Wood, it is a charitable organisation based in Oxford, England. It created the Oxfordshire Science Festival in the early 1990´s. Today, Science Oxford provides a central Oxford home for its public engagement work. These includes the annual Festival of Science and the discovery zone where schools and families can interact with various science activities.

Hampstead Heath is one of the largest parks in London. It sits atop one of the highest points in London, offering excellent views of the London skyline. The skyscrapers of Canary Wharf can be seen along with St Paul's Cathedral and other landmarks. The Heath features grassy fields, wooded areas, and a number of large ponds. The water is never particularly warm, but do pack swimwear just in case the mood strikes you.

The Ethnographic Museum is located in an old granary dating to the 16th century, where it is possible to see just how much attention the residents of Dubrovnik gave to the storage of grain. The Dubrovnik Republic kept all the state reserves of wheat, barley and millet in deep silos called 'rupe', carved out of stone and coated with a water-proof material that kept the grain at a temperature of 17ºC. The traditional rural economy and architecture of the Dubrovnik region is found on the First Floor. Folk costumes and textile handiwork can be seen on the 2nd Floor.
