El Cable Inglés is an iron architecture masterpiece. It is located next to the Levante dock on Almadrabillas beach. It was built with the purpose of abandoning rudimentary systems for loading the iron ore from the mines of Alquife in Granada. It consists of two distinct parts: the access connecting the railway station to the loading dock, and the actual dock through which trains could unload directly into the ships.
