Mojácar is home to two statues in honour ir “mojaqueras”. The statue of “La Mojaquera” (Mojácar woman) has stood in front of the Church since 1989. Sculpted in marble and dressed in the typical attire, she holds the Arab scarf with her teeth and carries the water vessel that was used to carry the precious liquid from the fountain. Located in the Plaza Rey Alabez, next to the parking area, it is a bronze sculpture, symbolizing the woman changing their shoes when entering and leaving the village. You can read a “güajira mojaquera” (a popular folk song).

This mansion was created in the 1570's for Count Agostino Giusti and has been famous for a long time. Historical figures like Goethe and Mozart have visited this place. Here you will find a lush garden where to enjoy a quiet walk and beautiful sculptures to admire. According to a local myth, lovers who succeed to find each other in the small labyrinth by the garden are intended to stay together.

This unique museum can be found below the ravishing Space Monument. At The Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics there are several exhibitions with different space objects, documents, and art. If you are interested in space and the cosmonauts, you will most certainly not be disappointed.

Along history, Palazzo della Ragione has always had a central role hosting most important meetings and institutions in its inside. Located in the heart of the city, this amazing Romanesque building stands out for the red stripes on its walls, but it is mostly known for the treasures in its rooms, as well as the Ragione Stairs and the Lamberto Tower, from the top of which you can admire the entire city.
