A trip to Williamsburg is not complete without a visit to Colonial Williamsburg. Exit the 21st century and step into the 1700s, where you can explore period homes, town buildings, and craft stores that have been restored for guests. Reenactments take place daily, from court sessions to the battlefield. Families are invited to watch as artisans produce goods like glass and steelworks using only colonial methods. When Västervik was founded at its current location in 1433 by Eric of Pomerania, the inhabitants were granted four tax-free years, the first of which was to build a church. Services were held here for nearly 500 years, with the last high mass on the Feast of Christ the King (Domssöndagen) in 1905. The new church, St Peter's, was consecrated on the first Advent of the same year. Since then, St Gertrud's was used for various purposes, including for grain storage during the First World War. Eventually, the idea to restore the church as a place of worship emerged, and St Gertrud's was re-consecrated on 18th June 1933. The church's original tower, destroyed by lightning during a service in 1762, was replaced in the 1780s by the current one, designed by the renowned architect Carl-Fredrik Adelcratz. Among the church's many valuable artefacts is a Wistenius organ from 1743, considered one of Sweden's most precious organs.

Formed 600 million years ago, the Mogollon Rim is the stupendous center of Arizona’s geography. Almost incongruously to the rest of Arizona, the Rim is blanketed in forests and grass. Such lush, fertile land has led to an amazing diversity of fauna: birds (including eagles), Rocky Mountain elk, mule, and whitetail deer, black bears, mountain lions, bobcats, foxes, javelina, and coyotes all make the Mogollon Rim their home. So drive, hike, or bike to the top of the Rim and experience Arizona at its finest.

This tourist walking route runs along what is now left of the old city walls, which was still intact as recently as 1892. In recent years, the remaining parts of the eastern city walls have been reconstructed and magnificent views of Girona’s attractions can be enjoyed from the wall.
