The Kunstmuseum Stuttgart is hard to miss—by day, it’s a sleek glass cube reflecting the city; by night, its illuminated limestone core glows from within. The museum holds around 5,000 square metres of exhibition space, much of it tucked beneath the square in repurposed tunnels. It’s home to the world’s largest collection of works by Otto Dix, including his famous triptych Großstadt. The collection also includes pieces by Adolf Hölzel, Willi Baumeister, and other key figures in modern and contemporary German art.

Make your way into the Limerick City Gallery to find a superb collection of Irish painting. The selection is quite vast, but among the works that should not be missed are "Chairoplanes", Jack B. Yeats’s portrayal of an amusement ride, and Seán Keating's "Simple Folk".

Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, this charming little church overlooks the city from a steep cliff on the left bank of the Kura river. Throughout its history, the church was destroyed and rebuilt several times and is now one of the most important landmarks of Tbilisi. Outside the church stands the equestrian statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali, the city's founder.

The Clock Tower Museum occupies the top four floors of the Makkah Royal Clock Tower, the central pillar of the Abraj Al-Bait complex overlooking the Grand Mosque. Its focus is the intersection of faith and science, using interactive exhibits and advanced technology to explore timekeeping, the Hijri calendar and astronomy from an Islamic perspective. The journey culminates on the open observation deck, which provides a breathtaking, unparalleled aerial view of the Kaaba and the entire mosque complex from over 400 metres, a perspective unique to this museum.
