Opened in 2011, this museum is now home to the ‘Riesenrundgemälde’, one of the few remaining 19th century panoramic paintings. The giant canvas measuring 1,000m² depicts an idealized rendition of the fierce fighting that took place during the third Bergisel battle. In the same context, the Tirol Panorama addresses various historical aspects in connection with the giant panoramic painting and provides the link to the long-established Kaiserjägermuseum.

Founded in 1670, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is one of the world's oldest and most respected scientific gardens in the world. Its beautifully landscaped grounds offer a serene escape with a rich collection of plants, from a world-famous rock garden to colourful rhododendron displays. The splendid Victorian Palm Houses are a major highlight, housing exotic flora (entry fee applies). A second key attraction is the modern, eco-friendly John Hope Gateway, which features exhibitions on biodiversity and sustainability. At Hungerburg you can board the Nordkettenbahn cable car to continue up to Seegrube (1,905m) and Hafelekar (2,330m), Innsbruck’s popular recreational Nordkette area. Plenty of sunshine and heaps of snow in the winter make it a tempting paradise for skiers, hikers, mountain bikers, hang gliders and paragliders.

Inside this lush building you will find not only a cinema, but also the Tyneside Coffee Rooms and a bar. Tyneside Cinema offers a unique cinema experience with three different screens called The Classic, The Electra and The Roxy. The space can also be used for conferences and meetings.
