A must-see attraction — the Tanguy Tower — houses a collection of various exhibits including artefacts and maps that recount the history of Brest. The tower itself is a medieval structure dating back to the 14th century. Its true origins, however, remain unknown.

To find refuge from tourist masses, head to this beautiful, secluded beach in the island's very south. Reaching the place will take around 30 minutes by car, and some patience if you're driving your own vehicle — signage isn't too clear. However, it's worth the exploration: locals love Baby Beach because it's calm and less crowded. Its waters are clean and good for swimming, and the local fauna is beautiful, featuring gorgeous tropical fish and sea turtles.

The Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center is a unique wildlife conservation and education center located around 40 minutes from Belize City. The zoo was founded in 1983 as a last resort for animals rescued or donated from various sources, such as the film industry, government agencies, and private individuals. Today, it serves as a sanctuary for over 170 animals, including jaguars, tapirs, howler monkeys, and scarlet macaws, all of which are native to Belize. The Belize Zoo is also an important educational institution, dedicated to promoting wildlife conservation and sustainable living practices in the region. The Tropical Education Center offers visitors a chance to learn more about Belize's diverse flora and fauna through interactive exhibits, guided tours, and educational programs for children and adults alike.

Andicuri's wild beauty makes it a unique spot on the island. It sits on the windy, underdeveloped eastern coast, inside the Arikok National Park. An organised tour is probably the best way to reach it. Its crystal waters are moved by strong waves, which make them great for experienced surfers and not safe for swimming. There are no amenities, and you should bring your own food.
