Malaga’s coastline runs right along the city, so you don’t need to go far for a swim. The main stretch starts near the port along the Paseo de Pablo Ruiz Picasso. La Malagueta is the most central beach — about 10 minutes from the Old Town — with dark sand, showers, toilets, and sunbeds for hire. You’ll spot the big Malagueta sign where everyone stops for photos. The beach is lined with chiringuitos, casual seafood spots where you can try grilled sardines (espetos) cooked over open fire. La Caleta, just a bit further east, is quieter but has the same setup — clean, calm water, and easy access.

NDK is one of, if not the, most emblematic buildings in Sofia. Its name stands for National Palace of Culture, and if you’re strolling along Vitosha Boulevard, it’s only a short walk away. The building itself hosts concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and many other artistic and cultural events throughout the year. If you’re arriving by metro, simply get off at NDK Station, which shares the same name, you can’t miss it.

If you are a fan of architectural design, you simply must visit the Rietveld Schröderhuis. This outstanding single-family house embodies the design principles of the De Stijl movement, and the restoration of its interiors to the 1920s aligns with this significance. Today, the entire house is a museum that has been meticulously restored and maintained to retain its authenticity.

If you want to enjoy a view over the city, you should visit this basilica in the heart of Altenburg. The red spires are the landmarks of Altenburg and were built and were built between 1165 and 1172 under the supervision of the emperor Frederick Barbarossa and Udo von Naumburg.
