The spectacular coastline around Coffs Harbour is one of the best locations on the East Coast of Australia for watching humpback whales on their annual migration from May to November. Hop on a cruise to see these magnificent mammals up close, or head to one of the coastal headlands to watch them swim by. The Rotary Lookout and Captain Cook Lookout in Nambucca Heads have superb ocean views including over the mouth of the Nambucca River. In nearby Bongil Bongil National Park, Sawtell Headland is famous for frequent sightings.

Nikki Beach Saint Barth occupies a prime oceanfront position on St Jean Beach, only a few minutes east of Eden Rock. The venue combines beachside dining with relaxed luxury: think white sunbeds and a restaurant with uninterrupted views of St Jean Bay. Nikki regularly draws celebrity guests, making it one of St Barts' prime spots for star sightings. The open-air restaurant creates an ideal setting for people-watching between courses. The islands of L’île Sainte-Marguerite and L’île Saint-Honorat are two beautiful getaways from the city of Cannes. Just a boat ride away from the harbour, behind the palatial cinema, you can travel to these islands which are fifteen and thirty minutes respectively away from Cannes. L’île Sainte-Marguerite used to be a prison island, where a mysterious, masked prisoner was held in the 17th-century. The peaceful, flower-decked island of Saint-Honorat houses a monastery.

Piazza Vecchia represents the core of Città Alta: it has been the heart of political power for centuries and it keeps being one of the most popular places for Bergamo’s citizens to spend some time with friends. Beauty is all around you if you have a seat at one of the square’s restaurants or cafes, having a drink, breakfast or even a romantic dinner. You can admire the building called “Palazzo della Ragione”, the oldest municipal seat in Lombardy, as well as the Torre Civica, a bell tower also called “Campanone”. In the middle of the square is located the Contarini Fountain, which was donated to the city by the chief magistrate Alvise Contarini in 1780, while on the opposite side of Piazza Vecchia you can see the Palazzo Nuovo (“New Palace”), which served as Bergamo’s Town Hall until 1873 and is today the seat of the Angelo Mai Library. The geometrical layout of the buildings around the square is so harmonic that when Le Corbusier visited Bergamo he said “you can’t move a single stone, it would be a crime”
