The capital's most important historic landmark is an entire area known as the Citadel, perched on top of Amman's highest elevation — the Jabal al-Qal'a hill. Its story dates back to as early as the Bronze Age, with various epochs bringing cultures and peoples who have all left their mark here. The Citadel's two primary attractions are the ancient Temple of Hercules (162-166 AD) and the Ummayad Palace dating back to the 8th century.

Located on the Weserpromenade, the Stadtgarten Vegesack was created as a botanic garden meant to showcase a collection of rare and exotic plants. Today, this park is also a popular place for sports, picnics or leisurely walks by the Weser river. There are two barrier-free entrances, one from the Vegesack ferry terminal and the other from Schulkenstraße street.

Bremen has earned a reputation as a hub for aviation and aerospace, with Airbus Defence & Space being a significant contributor to this status. Over the years, the city has emerged as a major player in aeronautics. Numerous European space projects, including the International Space Station and the Spacelab were engineered here. There are two different tours available: the aviation tour, offering insights into how planes are manufactured, and the space tour, providing a firsthand experience of astronaut life in space.
