Damnoen Saduak is Thailand’s most famous floating market, about 80 km southwest of Bangkok. Vendors in wooden boats sell fruit, snacks, and noodles along the canal, while stalls on the banks push souvenirs and crafts. It’s lively, colourful, and very touristy, but it’s still a classic day trip. Most people go with an organised tour, though you can also catch a bus from the Southern Bus Terminal and hire a boat on arrival. Go early in the morning to avoid the thickest crowds and heat.

Tabuk features a diverse range of landscapes, with its mountainous areas offering numerous opportunities for exploration. The most prominent peak is Jabal Al-Lawz, which rises to 2,580 metres above sea level. During the warmer seasons, campers often visit the eastern mountainside, while the mountain is known to be snow-covered in winter.

This series of grottoes, 40 kilometres southeast of Bari, are the biggest ones in Italy. They are 3 kilometres long and 71 meters deep and include long underground passages and deep caves covered with hundreds of stalactites and stalagmites formed over thousands of years by water erosion of the calcareous rock.
