The Big Banana is an iconic Australian landmark, standing five metres high and stretching 11 metres long. But there's more to this attraction than just bananas: visit the Big Banana Fun Park, packed with rides and activities for the whole family. Enjoy the toboggan ride, laser tag arena, ice-skating rink, inflatable water park, candy-making kitchen, nursery, and a gift shop filled with quirky souvenirs.

During the hot summer months, this park is a popular place to relax in the shades of the trees. Students, locals and tourists come here for a picnic, a stroll, to let their children play at the playground and even to discover some ancient sights. The construction of the citadel began in 1440 during the first period of Florentine rule. In the 1930s, the area became a public garden and was used for performances, concerts and as an open-air cinema in summer.

Just outside Bilbao, in Biscay, the Vizcaya Bridge (Puente Bizkaia) — also called Puente Colgante or the Hanging Bridge — is the world’s oldest transporter bridge, completed in 1893. It connects Portugalete and Las Arenas (Getxo) across the Nervión River and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006. You can cross either by the gondola, which carries vehicles and passengers in about 90 seconds, or on the pedestrian walkway, accessed via lifts in the towers. The bridge stands 45 m high and 160 m long, and its iron-and-steel design was a milestone of industrial-age engineering.

Located on a hill overlooking the city, the Asahiyama Memorial Park is a great place to get an amazing view of Sapporo and its surroundings. After a small hike up a path in the woods, you can enjoy the spectacular scenery either during the day or at night when the city lights are shining in the dark.
