The Castle of Ravadinovo, often called "In Love with the Wind", is a whimsical, fairytale-like attraction near Sozopol. The castle sprung from the imagination of architect Georgi Kostadinov Tumpalov, who tirelessly laboured to bring his vision into reality since 1996, involving his family, friends, local workers and getting his own hands dirty, too. Built entirely using marble from the Strandzha Mountains, its dreamy, kitsch design features towers, fountains, and lush gardens. The castle’s enchanting atmosphere, complete with a lake and chapel, offers a surreal escape, making it a popular spot for romantics and photographers. A visit here feels like stepping into a storybook.

Those who live and work here say that you don’t really need to explain where the Jeker quarter is: Once you’re there, you’ll know. This is where the locals stroll the streets at their leisure, students read in the park, and you can spend a whole Sunday on a café terrace, a wisp of jazz music in the air in the background, and never get bored. The Jeker quarter is nestled between the old city walls and centuries-old houses, bordered by the green of the city park. Although people have lived here for centuries, no one has ever explored it all. And right through the middle of it, that impudent little river, the Jeker, flows brazenly on. Although entry into the shrine is allowed to Hindus alone, visitors of any religious denomination can marvel at the 30-metre-high golden gate (gopura) towering right next to the Fort. The sizeable structure is among the world's richest in terms of valuable metals and precious stones used in its interior decor. Its early origins remain steeped in mystery.
