Djurholmen hiking area on the southern slopes of Hallandsåsen offers a serene escape deep in the Småland forests. Its marked trails take you through a vast bog, a creek ravine with waterfalls, and varied beech and coniferous woods. Djurholmamossen, one of Skåne's few preserved raised bogs, is a natural habitat for black grouses, capercaillies (one of Sweden's largest birds) and moose. This eighteenth century fortification was named after Queen Maria Theresia (mother of Marie Antoinette, the Queen of France) who actually acted and was considered as an empress in the Habsburg states. Theresia Bastion is a nice venue for hanging out with friends during summer evenings because of the different cafés and bars that create a lively atmosphere.

Built in 1754, the same year as the Roman Catholic cathedral that it faces across the square, this immense building stands as a reminder that this city lies on the Serbian frontier, with a large Serb population calling the city home and many cultural ties across the border.

Once Shenzhen's tallest skyscraper, Di Wang Building is more than just an architectural feat—it’s a symbol of the city’s rapid growth. Take a 50-second ride to the 68th-floor observation deck, where you'll be treated to panoramic views: Shenzhen’s ever-expanding skyline on one side and a glimpse of Hong Kong on the other. Once holding the world record for construction speed (an impressive 2.5 days per floor), this building is a testament to the city’s ambition. Although newer skyscrapers now tower over it, Di Wang remains a must-visit for those wanting a bird's-eye view of Shenzhen's dynamic urban landscape, especially when the sun sets and the skyline lights up.
