More than just a bookstore, Livraria Lello is a historical and architectural masterpiece in downtown Porto. Opened in 1906, Livraria Lello & Irmão as it is also known combines elements of Neo-Gothic, Art Deco, and Art Nouveau styles that comprise intricate woodwork, a large stained glass window bearing the bookshop monogram with the motto "Decus in labore" (dignity at work, in Latin), and a remarkable red spiral staircase, which starts as one set of stairs and splits into two that join in a circular design. The latter is a huge attraction here since it resembles the Grand Staircase from the Harry Potter films, and considering J.K. Rowling was once a Porto resident, there is a high chance this place might have inspired her. Livraria Lello became so popular with tourists that in July 2015 the store started charging a 5 Euro entrance fee and queues can take over an hour. You can purchase tickets on their website.

This large zoo with lots of exotic animals is fun for the whole family. It is located in the area of Oliwa but is easy to access with local transport. Since the park is quite big, don't forget to put on your walking shoes and bring some snacks and drinks.

KIT - Art in the tunnel (Kunst im Tunnel) - is a part of the Kunsthalle Duesseldorf and will offer a new exhibition-room lying underground. Above the tunnel room, 850 sqm in size, the visitor first enters the boardwalk café designed by the studio Prof. Fritschi Stahl Baum. Arriving underground in the tunnel-room, he will be greeted by the an ensemble of artistic works, which develop their particular magic at this special place.

The Blue Lagoon is without a doubt the most well-known geothermal spa in Iceland. The signature milky-blue water makes a stark contrast to the surrounding black lava fields and creeping grey moss. The spa is located in a lava field near Grindavík and is supplied by water used in the nearby Svartsengi geothermal power plant. The water temperature stays at 39°C year-round, snowfall or sunshine. Most visitors make the spa their first or last stop, since it's conveniently located only 15 minutes from the Keflavík International Airport (and around 30 minutes from the capital city).
