Koh Tao means 'Turtle Island' in Thai, as this was once an important breeding ground for sea turtles, which have been reintroduced to the island's ecosystem in 2004. Koh Tao is worldwide famous for its beautiful coral reef and marine life, which make it a popular place for snorkelling and scuba diving. Hikers might want to try and reach John-Suwan Viewpoint or Mango Viewpoint.

Mtatsminda Park is a landscaped amusement park located at the top of Mount Mtatsminda at the hight of 770 metres. The giant ferris wheel and the old Soviet TV-tower are can be spotted from most places in the city. You can hike up one of the trails or ride a renovated funicular car.

Touted as being some of the best in all of Saudi Arabia, Yanbu's beaches welcome people from all walks of life who gather to swim, relax on the golden sand and take advantage of the phenomenal diving spots along the reef. The nearby areas also have restaurants and cafes in abundance. They can be a lovely escape from the industrial city.

The Fujian Assembly Hall is, perhaps, the best-known one; the Cantonese Assembly Hall stands out for its beauty and contains a tranquil inner courtyard, while the 19th-century Hainan Assembly Hall functions, in part, as a memorial to the 108 merchants from Hainan who met a tragic fate being mistaken for pirates – the entire story is narrated via wall posters.
