The effervescent Parrot Mountain and Gardens is located just outside Pigeon Forge and is a must for families, friends, locals, and visitors. The four acres harbor hundreds of tropical birds and thousands of trees, plants, and flowers. Guests are given the opportunity to interact directly with the beautifully plumed birds, petting and feeding them in the designated area. There is even a nursery where guests are welcome to hold the baby birds. Overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains is the deck, where lunch from the deli may be enjoyed while the birds serenade. A secret garden is lush with birds flying freely and pathways that display all of the gorgeous flowers.

Representing the very heart of the city, Mallory Square gives you many options for shopping, flavorful food, exciting entertainment and spectacular sunsets. Here, every night is a festival: two hours before the sun goes down the Sunset Celebration begins. You will encounter performers of various kinds ranging from aerial acrobats and stunt dogs to bagpipers and local musicians.

With the exception of Cardiff Castle, St John the Baptist Church is the oldest building in the city. The church originally dates back to 1180 but was destroyed in 1404 during the Welsh Revolt and rebuilt thereafter in Gothic style. Now it serves as an Anglican church and is open to the public for prayer or visit.

There are a dozen of national parks in the British Virgin Islands, and since every major island has one, it is easy to incorporate a hike into your itinerary. Diamond Cay is Jost Van Dyke's treasure box located on the east side of the island, and is in fact a 1.25-acre bird sanctuary that's also home to turtles and lizards. Bubbly Pool, formed by waves crashing against the rocks, is only a short walk away to the north.
