Twin Cities Pride, one of the largest Pride events in the country, includes a parade, several concerts, a 5k race, and a host of other activities. Special guest appearances in the past few years have included Kathy Griffin, The Pointer Sisters, and more. Pride is held annually during the last weekend of June.

“Żwirownia” is a 3.5 ha water reservoir with a sandy beach of 20 acres. The bathing area is located at a short distance from the reservoir. During the summer season “Żwirownia” operates from 10:00 to 18:00, then the swimmers are under lifeguards’ watch. There is also a mini playground for children and a volleyball court on the beach. You can rent water equipment, such as kayaks and water bikes.

During the summer months, the classic Elba ferry becomes a beloved attraction in Västerås. This hop-on-hop-off boat offers a leisurely journey, allowing passengers to explore swimming beaches, enchanting harbour views, and scenic walkways. With a ticket valid for the entire day, passengers can freely hop on and off at their leisure, immersing themselves in the charm of several ports along the route.
