The Rembrandt House Museum will be interesting for people who want to know more about the painter’s life, his work and about the Dutch Golden Age in general. The painter lived and worked in the house between 1639 and 1656 and these days visitors can see the reconstruction of the 17th-century interior. In addition to the main attraction, the museum has great temporary exhibitions as well as an interactive one for kids. A worthy cultural destination for the entire family.

You’ll feel like you’ve crossed the border, but you’re not quite there yet. Of course, you’re aware that Maastricht’s central location in the Euregio means you can be in Belgium very quickly. Today, Sint Pieter is Maastricht’s most popular residential district, not just for its beautiful houses but because of its ideal location between city and green. And it still feels like its own town, with its own social life, and charm, even though it’s just a stone’s throw away from the city park. In fact, it has the best of both worlds: village and city. Nature and culture.

On Pentecost island, you can witness the astounding Nagol ritual, where the islanders build a huge tower to perform land diving. This ritual has been practiced for centuries and celebrates the Yam harvest. It is said to be the forerunner of today’s bungee jumping.

If Timisoara is called "the city of flowers" it is largely due to this amazing park that offers a wide array of different, colourful flowers and lots of white benches that combine to create an extremely romantic atmosphere. Also, this park is pretty close to Bega River, so if you still feel like walking a bit, you should definitely check it out as well.
