Covering over 40% of the island's territory, the Corsica Natural Regional Park encompasses a massive area and countless natural wonders, from lush forests to mountain massifs, impressive gorges to mountain lakes, and much more. The GR20, a famous hiking trail, also crosses the park and is one of its biggest draws.

As Port Zante is located right in Basseterre's city centre, getting there by ferry or taxi is relatively easy. There are also mini vans called "route taxis" If you are going to Port Zante in a route taxi, look for one that has "Basseterre" written on the front sign. Once you board the minibus, you can tell the driver that you want to go to Port Zante. The minibus will drop you off at the bus terminal in downtown Basseterre, and from there it's just a 10-minute walk to Port Zante. You can ask locals for directions or follow the signs to the cruise ship terminal. This is one of the oldest churches in Italy – dating from the 5th century AD. Strange symbols and references to the Knights Templar can be seen, as well as the symbol of the pentagram near the church entrance. This is a must-see.
