Currently the headquarters of the municipal company Águas do Porto, hence its second name Parque das Águas (Water Park), the Nova Sintra Park is one of the largest green spaces in Porto, boasting great botanical diversity, dense trees, as well as a peaceful atmosphere--a nice place to relax and take a break by one of its many fountains.

Located just outside Kuala Lumpur's city centre, this six-tiered Chinese temple honours Mazu, the revered sea goddess. Since its opening in 1989, the active worship site has drawn visitors with its striking architectural features, from the grand prayer hall altars to the tiered roofs adorned with intricate carvings. The temple is open to tourists, but expect devotees filling the temple, burning incense offerings and praying. You can explore independently or join organised tours to appreciate this lesser-known gem's cultural and artistic significance.

The monumental Masjid Nasional Al-Akbar is a spectacular modern mosque, one of the most imposing in Southeast Asia, let alone Indonesia itself. Access is open to visitors, and the top of one of its minarets offers spectacular views over the city (staff will guide you to the elevator on request).

The Jardin Botanico is a botanical garden and a museum specialising in the flora from the Atlantic territories. Here you can stroll around in a beautiful park with over 2,200 species and 30,000 plants.
