Northern Dalarna boasts 560 kilometers of well-prepared cross-country ski tracks waiting to take you on new adventures. The trails are divided among 19 different track centers, with at least one near each of our four main localities: Grövelsjön, Idre, Särna and Älvdalen. There are plenty of illuminated ski tracks for evening tours in the winter darkness.

Nestled between Antalya and Alanya, Side is steeped in romantic legend, with claims of a tryst between Cleopatra and Mark Antony. Here, you'll find history quite literally underfoot, with ruins at every turn. Its ancient theatre, capable of holding 25,000 spectators, is fortified by sturdy walls and perched on a flat expanse of land. Neighbouring the theatre, a striking Roman bath has been repurposed into an archaeological museum.

Enjoy the ocean at its best at King Edward Park. This former recreational reserve is a popular place for weddings, and holds a bowling green as well as the Obelisk. Families BBQ and picnic here all day long, and if you're lucky, you can even catch an open air movie on summer nights.

This building is composed of a church, convent and university, all completed at different times. On the exterior, there are two striking renaissance doorways, featuring the founder's family coat of arms and the shield of the Dominican Order. The Baroque entrance to the University shows an allegorical figure representing wisdom. Human figures adorn the Baroque tower. Inside are two magnificent cloisters, the Renaissance one in the convent and the University own Baroque example. The church is a renaissance building with later Baroque additions. An interesting feature in the Renaissance doorway leading to the sacristy and refectory, dating from the late 16th Century with a fascinating base covered in Vatican tiling from the 18th Century.
