This interactive museum is an exceptional place to gain a deeper understanding of Warsaw’s history. It was founded in commemoration of an event that profoundly changed the city: the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. Listen to the oral accounts given by insurgents, go down into the sewers — similar to the ones that insurgents used to move around the city — and see The City of Ruins, a bird’s-eye view of Warsaw burnt to the ground. Don’t forget to see the murals painted by Polish artists on the Wall of Art. The museum building is interesting in its own right since it was previously an old electric power plant for trams.

The protestant Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is a beacon of peace and reconciliation. It stands for the will of the Berliners to rebuild their city during the period after the war. Most of the original structure was destroyed by a British bombing raid in World War II — all that remained was its gaping, ruined tower. The first plans to rebuild the church would have removed the crumbling tower completely. However, Berliners protested the demolition of the 70-metre belfry and the new modernist church buildings are centred around this piece of history. Because of the distinctive geometrical shapes of the new buildings, locals nicknamed the church "Lippenstift und Puderdose" (the lipstick and the powder box).

Loon Mountain, a beautiful, snow-capped peak located in Lincoln's White Mountain National Forest, is a year-round haven for outdoor enthusiasts. In the winter, it’s a favorite for skiers and snowboarders, offering a range of slopes, terrain parks, and family-friendly options. Come summer, the mountain transforms with activities like zip-lining, scenic gondola rides, mountain biking, and the Aerial Forest Adventure Park.

It has always been in mankind's nature to explore his surroundings, and even though he has traded walking through treacherous terrain for a ride on the open road, that spirit remains strong. The Kancamagus Highway, or "The Kanc," is a 34.5-mile stretch of scenic highway along State Route 112 from Lincoln to Conway that takes you through White Mountain National Forest.
