There’s a little bit of everything here: the beaches are beautiful, the clear water is beloved by snorkelling fans, water sports are on offer and some decent bars can be found as well. Cala Comte is situated on the west coast of the island.

Cala d’Hort is a quiet cove bathed in sunshine, with a spacious sandy beach, good restaurants and an excellent view of the Es Vedrá islet rising from the sea. Excellent choice for a beach day out.

St Stephen's Basilica is the largest church in Budapest. It was built in Neo-classicist style and has a capacity of up to 8,500 people. Its most noted relic is the mummified right hand of Stephen I, Hungary's first king, who among others converted Hungarians to Christianity. The adjacent square is home to several markets throughout the year and is lined by terraces of trendy bars and cafés.

Not only does Costa Maya have excellent conditions for diving and snorkeling, it also boasts a true rarity: Banco Chinchorro Biosphere Reserve is a coral reef located around 18 miles off the coast of Mahahual. As part of the Mesoamerican Reef, the second largest coral reef system in the world, it is home to a diverse array of marine life as well as dozens of sunken ships, some of which date back to the 16th century. Those interested can find a multitude of dive centers along Mahahual's boardwalk, Malecón.
