In the Old Town neighbourhood you will find wooden-built houses, cobbled streets, beautiful gardens, and many interesting museums. There are also shops and crafts, exhibitions, a science center, a restaurant and a café. During the summer there are a number of activities available for families with children; ride with a horse and carriage or the choo-choo train, meet street musicians, vagabonds, the local police constable and other characters from bygone days, try oldfashioned crafts, visit the old school e t c. A short walk through the Valla forest nature reserve takes you to Valla farm, with museums showing agricultural and technical history, farm animals, a large playground, cafés and a miniature golf course.

This Anglesey Abbey Gardens & Lode Mill sit on 64 hectares of vast land where one can see and appreciate the simplicity of nature and its vibrant colours. Inside you can find a collection of amazing fine furnishings, books, paintings and even other fabulous objects like rare silver clocks.

This is not just a park, but a representative scenic area covers more than 120 hectares. The park contains rivers, mountains, Chinese gardens, traditional architectures and an underground cave. The Seven Star Cave in the park is a fantastic karst cave with a large number of stalagmites and stalactites, which transform the cave into a surreal place. If you can only visit one place in Guilin, this should be it.

The site of an infamous prison reborn as the superb Constitutional Court, art gallery and museum. The history of Constitution Hill dates back to 1892; a prison turned military defence post during the South African War. These buildings were known as "the Fort", and have through the years incarcerated the likes of Mahatma Gandhi. In 1964 the Fort was declared a National Monument, and in the late 90's it was chosen the new Constitutional Court.
