Forty-eight hectares of rolling lavender fields bloom a blanket of purple on one of the world’s largest lavender farms. The five-week harvest begins in early January with the distillation and processing of the lavender in full swing. Sit and enjoy a coffee in the Bridestowe café or picnic under the century-old oak trees and stroll through the fields. The Bridestowe gift shop has lavender filled bears, lavender infused oils, lotions and potions and culinary lavender — so you can make your own lavender treats at home.

The Santiago Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church in Bilbao. The temple is consecrated in honour of the apostle Saint James the Great–Santiago in Spanish–the patron of Bilbao. The Gothic architecture dates back to the 15th century, which makes it the oldest church in Bilbao. It has been renewed several times throughout the years. There are several reasons why this is such a peculiar church. For instance, it's not built in one style, but a combination of three. There is a Gothic cloister, a Renaissance portico, and a neo-Gothic spire.

The Byzantine Church of Prophet Elias was built in 1984, in the place of an older chapel. Set on a 100-metre-high granite hill and found just a short distance from the heart of Protaras, it certainly cannot be missed. It was built using stones from the area, and it is in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings. The chapel becomes particularly striking at night when illuminated.
