Across the Grand Harbour, to the south of Valletta, are the historic fortified towns of Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea, commonly referred to as the three cities of Cottonera. If you only have time for one of them, Vittoriosa is the one most worth a visit. Here you'll find Fort St Angelo, the Inquisitor's Palace, and the Vittoriosa waterfront, which was refurbished in the early 2000s to once again reach up to its former glory.

Pulau Ubin is an island northeast of mainland Singapore. With a length of 30 miles, Lake Bacalar, also known as 'Laguna Bacalar,' is the largest lake of the Yucatán peninsula. Also called 'The Lake of Seven Colors', it is a spectacular landmark for its clear azure water, fed by groundwater emerging from 'cenotes,' or natural sinkholes. The landmark is within a 60-mile distance from Mahahual. There are restaurants near the shore, and sports activities such as kayaking and windsurfing are available, too.

The Galicia Contemporary Art Centre showcases some of the best modern art exhibits in the region, hosting works by both Galician and international artists, including Moncho Amigo and Knut Asdam, as well as always evolving temporary exhibitions.
