Banner Elk Stables welcomes families and friends to one of the area's most adored attractions. The guided one-hour tours will lead you over beautiful trails across the high mountains of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the flanks of Beech Mountain. Impressively, some of their horses have worked on popular films such as For Richer or Poorer, Shallow Hal, Cinderella, National Treasure, and more.

On top of selling bikes and offering repair services, Caicos Cyclery also gives you the opportunity to pedal through the main spots of the island. The "Java Cruise" is a short and relaxed ride that can be done during the morning or evening, the "North and Middle Caicos Bike Adventure" features island hopping between middle and North Caicos, while the Iron Man Road Bike Ride features a 42-mile long track that will put your endurance to the test.

Many of the archipelago's islands are populated by giant Aldabra tortoises, and bird species number 250, 12 of those being unique to the islands. Mahe Island's Port Launay Marine National Park is the place to head for whale shark sightings, and Praslin Island is home to the country's national bird - the Seychelles black parrot. Cousine Island is where visitors are encouraged to take part in wildlife conservation projects (and spot free-roaming giant tortoises and rare bird species along the way). A mere 3km away from there is Fregate Island, known especially for its chelonian inhabitants.
