The main entrance is adorned with colourful Islamic-style tiles, and inside, centuries-old mashrabiya screens and carved wooden doors showcase the enduring architectural beauty.

This fascinating castle is regarded as one of the finest examples of medieval architecture in Europe and has become one of the most popular attractions in South Yorkshire. Conisbrough Castle is, in fact, a well-preserved 12th-century castle and was once owned by Richard of York.
