Cycling through the rice paddies in the surroundings of Hoi An is a popular day trip from town. Organised tours may include visits to rice farms and guides that walk you through the entire process of rice cultivation; tours are organised by multiple local providers and can be arranged privately or as part of a group. If you choose to go it alone, follow Cua Dai in the direction of Cua Dai Beach, and you will eventually end up in the rice fields traversed by bike paths. You're likely to encounter rice farmers and water buffalo who plough rice paddies along the way. Continue along Hai Ba Trung Street to reach An Bang Beach.

Castelvecchio, which means 'Old Castle', dates back to the mid-1300s and was built by Cangrande II della Scala as both a residence and fortress. Today, it houses the Castelvecchio Museum, with a good collection of medieval and Renaissance art. The castle’s walls and towers give a solid sense of Verona’s history, and the walk along the river from here is worth adding to your route.

Miffy's traffic light is just a piece of the puzzle in this Dutch rabbit's world. To take a look at the whole picture, Miffy has had her own dedicated museum in Utrecht since 2016. If you are visiting the city with kids, more specifically, toddlers and pre-schoolers, the Nijntje Museum is what you need. The museum consists of ten thematic spaces inspired by Dick Bruna's picture books, allowing children to interact with the world around them in an educational manner.

For a great view of the Cathedral and the city, head up to the rooftop platform at Köln Triangle. It’s over 100 metres up, so you get a full 360-degree look. The lift gets you there fast, and on a clear day, you can spot pretty far across the skyline.
