The historic Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix is a cultural gem, hosting a variety of performances from Broadway shows to comedy acts and live concerts. With its exquisite Spanish Baroque Revival décor, the theater’s lobby exudes old-world charm, while the 1,364-seat auditorium boasts grand columns and a stunning hand-painted ceiling that mimics a vibrant desert sunset. When coming by car you can approach Eger easily, fast, on good quality roads. Arriving from motorway M3 ( toll must be paid) The main „entrance” to the town is from the South, from motorway M3. When coming from this direction either from Budapest or Nyíregyháza direction, leave the motorway at M25 cross. M25 connecting Eger directly with motorway M3. Arriving from road 3 (toll free) Main road 3 runs paralles with motorway M3, which can be used toll free. When coming from the direction of Budapest, leave road 3 in Kerecsend village to road 25 which goes straight to the city of Eger. In case you come from the direction of Miskolc, leave main road 3 at Mezőkövesd town. From here road signs show the way to Eger. Arriving from the direction of Slovakia (toll free road) When coming from the North, from the direction of Slovakia, take main road 25. It takes you from the Slovakian border to the centre of Eger, which is 55 kms from the border. Main road 25 runs across the Bükk mountains which is one of the nicest regions of Hungary. The road is of good quality, easy to drive, however, it is winding.

In the middle of the Øresund strait, right between Sweden and Denmark, lies the idyllic island of Ven. The astronomer Tycho Brahe was gifted the whole island by King Fredrik II after he discovered a new star in the Cassiopeia constellation. Here he constructed one of the most interesting buildings of the time: the Uraniborg castle, a subterranean observatory called Stjerneborg and a renaissance garden. The New Church of Ven has now been turned into a museum, the garden has been renovated, and in the observatory you can watch a light and sound show. The light in Ven is said to have a unique quality, which has attracted many an artist and ceramist to the island. Take a tour among the studios and workshops, and meet with sculptors and silversmiths along the way. Ven is a small island, and the best way to get around is by bike, which you can easily rent when you get off the ferry.
