Perched above the sparkling waters where Vineyard Sound meets Buzzards Bay, Nobska Lighthouse has been guiding mariners since 1876. Originally built in 1828, this iconic beacon was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. Now operated by the United States Coast Guard, the lighthouse continues its vital role in navigation while offering visitors stunning views of the coastline and nearby islands.

This natural reserve covers an area of 57 square kilometres in the north of the island and is home to species ranging from flamingos to iguanas and sea turtles, not to mention the distinctive flora including several species of cacti.
