A short walk through the Valla forest nature reserve takes you to Valla farm, with museums showing agricultural and technical history, farm animals, a large playground, cafés and a miniature golf course.

The Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath art gallery is a perfect destination for an afternoon of culture. Here you will find an eclectic collection of Indian and international contemporary art alongside lavish gold-leaf works, Mysore-style paintings and folk and tribal art from across the subcontinent. Do not miss the galleries devoted to the Russian master Nicholas Roerich and his beautiful paintings of the Himalayas.

Stroll around this town full of character, cobbled streets and piazzas, and enjoy the decorous passeggiata along the main street, Via Garibaldi. There are also some good restaurants around the squares and pleasant bars in which to linger over a cool drink. The Diocesano Museum is located in the heart of town and has some fascinating exhibits, including two silver candlesticks and a crucifix gifted by Lord Horatio Nelson.
