About 10 kilometres north of Vathy lies one of the island's most pristine beaches, Livadaki. The waters are crystalline, the sand is soft, and both are warm and welcoming. It is even possible to borrow free kayaks and umbrellas to find protection from the sun.

Nestled near the Desert Botanical Garden, the Phoenix Zoo is home to a diverse range of animals from all over the world, with a special focus on the wildlife of the Sonoran Desert. One of two structures maintained by the Lincoln County Historical Society, the historic Burrows House was converted to a museum dedicated to preserving the history of the Oregon Coast during the period of 1895-1978. The architecture is styled after the Queen-Anne Victorian homes.
