Hidden on the island’s remote northern shore, Cozumel Pearl Farm is the Caribbean’s only active pearl cultivation site, offering a tranquil escape and a glimpse into sustainable pearl farming. Accessible only by boat, this secluded destination includes a snorkel tour over the oyster hatchery, where you’ll discover underwater treasures like a life-sized Virgen de Guadalupe statue and vibrant coral reefs. Guests can also learn about the meticulous process of cultivating pearls and the farm’s eco-friendly practices, such as solar and wind energy use. After the tour, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch under a palapa, unwind on the sandy beach, or relax in hammocks surrounded by pristine nature.

The permanent exhibition of this museum features works of art from the colonial era to the present day. You can see art work by famous Chilean artists such as Roberto Matta and Luis Vargas Rosas. Although the permanent exhibition is rather small, it is aesthetically pleasing and informative. Rotating feature exhibitions will give you further insights into Chilean art and history.

The Anatomy Museum, Collezione delle Cere Anatomiche, offers a unique and spine-chilling experience. Visitors will encounter displays featuring wax models depicting body parts, diseases, and malformations, alongside a vast collection of real skulls. Recommended for those with interests in medical history, anatomy, or general health. Be aware that the museum may not be suitable for the overly squeamish.
