The Alnö Old Church is a medieval church built in the latter part of the 12th century. The church served two purposes: as a place of worship and as a defensive structure. Today, it stands as one of the oldest and best-preserved churches, popular in the summer for baptisms and weddings. Nearby lies Alnö Hembygdsgård, with its exhibitions on Alnö's local history.

In this historic building you'll find selected artworks and small-scale exhibitions that are ever changing to reflect the fast-paced rhythm of the modern world. Check this art space's Walk-in Cinema, a platform for screenings, talks, workshops, and performances. Constructed by the French in 1896, this prison was taken over by the Vietnamese in 1954 to house prisoners of war. The original guillotine room and stories told by the ex-inmates themselves make this a gruesome but compelling experience.
