Wilanów Palace is a true pearl of Baroque architecture in Warsaw. On Corso Manthoné lies the house where the controversial poet Gabriele D’Annunzio was born on 12 March 1863. It is now a museum with a collection of his letters and documents. A follower of Mussolini, D’Annunzio helped shape the dictator’s philosophy and wrote poetry inspired by the Abruzzo region.

Approximately 60 kilometres west of Sundsvall, you'll find Flataklocken, which was designated as the Geographical Centre of Sweden's landmass through a centre-of-gravity calculation by KTH in Stockholm in 1947. This means that if you were to put Sweden on a needle, it would be in balance just over the mountain Flataklocken. It offers a vast 360-degree view of the beautiful landscape in Ljungandalen, and on clear days, one can see far towards the Sundsvall coast. At the summit, there are fire pits and a café open in the summer.

Lindos might be small, but it's brimming with character. A must-visit is the local Acropolis — not just a standout in Lindos but one of the island's most iconic archaeological gems. Home to monumental 4th-century gates and ancient reliefs dating back to 280 B.C., it's a step back in time. Down the hill, you'll find the 14th-century Castle of the Knights of St John. And don't miss the frescoes in the Virgin Mary of Lindos Church, dating from the 15th century.
