Used a backdrop for weddings, the Loretto Chapel is one of Santa Fe's oldest and most dear attractions. Formerly a Roman Catholic church, it now serves as a museum and wedding venue. Perhaps beyond its grand beauty and elegance, Loretto Chapel's continued allure lies in its mysterious spiral staircase. Both the identity of its builder and the stunning physics of its construction - there were no supports holding it as it spirals into the choir loft - remain a mystery. Legend says that St. Joseph himself made it, as the man who did build the staircase disappeared before the nuns were able to pay him, and the wood used was not native to the area. It is a stunning salute to the science of physics and the hearts of believers.

Housed in a large former power station, Tate Modern is Britain's leading art gallery when it comes to modern and contemporary art. As well as the Tate's much anticipated exhibitions, there's a fantastic permanent collection to explore. It features works by artists as diverse as Matisse, Picasso, Rothko, Pollock, Warhol and Bourgeois.

Beside the much loved Petit Sperone beach lie the enchanting ruins of Piantarella, which served as the beginning and end of the only road built by the Romans in Corsica during the Roman Empire. This huge villa comprises stables, offices, workshops, salt warehouses, a private port, apartments and even a dry dock to repair boats. Despite being located on privately owned land, you can see them clearly from the outside and enjoy the stunning landscape surrounding it.

The iconic Olympic Sculpture Park of Seattle features an amazing combination of both art and nature. It is interesting to mention that the admission is free, and allows you to observe all art on your own leisure. Some of these interesting art pieces include “Neukom Vivarium”, which is a large greenhouse with various plants and trees. Another piece is “The Schubert Sonata”, a painted steel sculpture to honor musical composers. So when the weather allows it, visit the park and be amazed.
