Once a provincial capital of ancient Rome and an important trading centre thanks to its strategic location along the Rhône River, Arles is a fascinating destination renowned for its impressive architecture, rich history, and thriving arts scene. The city boasts a number of impressive Roman ruins, including an amphitheatre and a theatre, which are both still used for performances today. Arles is also famous for its association with Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, who lived and worked in the city for a time and painted many of his most iconic works there. In addition, Arles is also known for its stunning natural beauty, with the nearby Camargue region providing opportunities for outdoor adventures like horseback riding, birdwatching, and hiking.

Watch these majestic creatures swim and play in the waters along the NSW South Coast during their annual migration between May and November. Whale numbers have risen substantially around Jervis Bay in recent years, making the area are great place to watch these graceful mammals from shore or the deck of a tour boat. The viewing platform in Booderee National Park, located at Cape St George Lighthouse, is a splendid observation point. Perpendicular Lighthouse, at the southern end of the Beecroft Peninsula in the Jervis Bay Military Reserve, also offers a good vantage point.

The Royal Palace of the Hague, also serving as the monarch’s workplace, may not be as exuberant as its counterpart in Amsterdam, but it is an impressive city centrepiece nonetheless. Built as a farmhouse in 1533, it was reformed and repurposed several times over the years, accommodating such pivotal historical figures as Voltaire and notable monarchs such as King Willem I until its most recent extensions in 1984, which have turned it into a working palace, where political and state affairs take place daily. The palace gardens are open to the public throughout the day and make a nice spot for a picnic, where anyone can enjoy the ponds, flowerbeds and marble statues with views of the royal stables, archives and the Dome of Fagel. Look out for the hidden corridors leading to the Old Hague District in one of the corners of the gardens.

“Art Depot” in Szczecin is an old tram depot which was built in 1912 with reinforced concrete. It has a sloping roof and a front glass wall with a clock. Since 2006 it has been one of the biggest Polish museums of a technological profile. The collection of almost 100 antique vehicles that was bought from Leszek Liszewski is the most precious. There, you can find such curiosities as micro-car Smyk or the one and only SUV version of Fiat 126p called in Polish “maluch” (tiny). Moreover, there are trams, buses (that you can enter), motorcycles, bikes,non-typical vehicles, electronic, telecommunication and household equipment and many more.
