Monkey Beach, also known as Teluk Duyung, is popular for its calm water, fine sand, picnic tables, and a troop of half-tame macaques. It is an attractive destination for a 2-3 hour walk through the tropical woodland of Penang National Park, Taman Negara Pulau Pinang. Be sure to check in at the park office before setting off.

This one-of-a-kind nature reserve is filled with deciduous forest, seaweed belts, pines and a bloomy open ground that borders a waterfilled quarry. It also showcases the rugged beauty of Karlshamn's granite and coastal gneiss. Rich in history, the land areas harbour ancient and cultural monuments, including a Stone Age settlement, graves, and stone burials from the Bronze and Iron Ages. Notably, remnants of the Per Albin Line, a 500 km long defensive line from the Second World War, add historical significance to the reserve. Submerged in the water area around Sternö and Boön, several shipwrecks contribute to the reserve's maritime allure.

Stroll through Matoyánni Street and venture out onto one of its many narrow side lanes to explore just how much beauty is hidden in Mykonos Town's labyrinth of brilliant white-coloured houses. The street is lined with designer boutiques, souvenir shops, and enticing restaurants in tiny squares that seem to spring out at wanderers at every turn.

Psyrri is a gentrified neighbourhood known for its bohemian cafe-bars, live music taverns, artisanal boutiques, exotic spice bazaars and small number of hotels. It's one of the oldest quarters of Athens and used to be regarded as a dodgy place until the early 90s. In the late 19th century, Psyrri used to be the ‘Bronx’ of Athens. ‘Koutsavakides’, ‘hobbler dudes’ in Greek, would walk the streets in their jackets worn on one sleeve and bully locals. You'll see this archetypical character show up in street art all over the neighbourhood.
