The state-of-the art stadium continues to attract guests long after the 2010 World Cup it was originally built to host. A SkyCar takes visitors to the panoramic viewing platform at the stadium's very top. Walking up the several hundred stairs on foot is another alternative. Thrill-seekers must try the Big Swing — an impressive free-fall swing named world's tallest in 2011.

Chihuly Garden and Glass provides a look at the inspiration and influences that formed the career of artist Dale Chihuly. Located at Seattle Center, Chihuly Garden and Glass includes an Exhibition Hall with eight galleries, the centerpiece Glasshouse and a lush Garden. The Glasshouse presents a suspended 1,400-piece, 100-foot-long sculpture; and the Garden is a backdrop for four monumental sculptures and other installations.

In July and August you can make boat tours on the Maas River, from the fortified town of Heusden. The tour boat, Wiljo, departs from the Molensteiger, the windmill base at the harbour at 13.30 and 15.00. The route runs along the Maas River and passes through the Heusden Canal (a man-made section of the river), past the village of Wijk & Aalburg and into the “dead end“ of the original Maas River and, after an hour of sailing, the boat returns to Heusden. Various drinks can be bought on board, both on the upper deck and in the cosy room below deck.
