Brunswick Heads, located about 20 minutes by road north of Byron Bay, is approximately what Byron used to be before the hippie invasion — a sleepy little village on a super-scenic inlet, with top boating and fishing, several bars and restaurants, and a great cafe culture. It is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway.

This traditional festival happens once a year, and it offers small breweries from both Czech and foreign origin to display their beers, and show off their skills. While tasting the beers may be focused quite most, you will also learn more about the process of brewing, and the history of beers.

Millions of people each year come to see the magic variety show—which captivates the crowd for 75 minutes of “wonders.” Evanswood incorporates magic, comedy, illusions, music, impersonations, sleight of hand and Houdini-inspired escapes into the Wonders of Magic. Within the Hall of Magic guests are welcomed to explore the timeline and history of magic in this free museum. Terry Evanswood himself provides the Hall’s tour, spanning costumes, props, artifacts, autographs, memorabilia, and more.
