Simply pick up a leaflet or a map and walk around the streetscapes of beautiful Victorian buildings. If you get tired, hop on the Newcastle’s Famous Tram, a replica of the original Newcastle working tram in service in the 1920s. The tram stops outside Newcastle Railway Station on Watt Street and the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Wharf Road on weekdays only.

Located in the Northeastern part of the city, the Muslim quarter will strike you as it is a lot busier than the adjacent Jewish one. Men smoke nargile inside the cafés while children play in the streets. The roads are lined with stands, and vendors loudly present their products. In the northern part, you will find the beautiful Damascus Gate. Built by Suleiman the Magnificent, it has triangular spires at the top, which gives it a resemblance to a crown.

Chinatown in Toronto is a must-see destination. The area is full of interesting stores, herbal remedy shops, cafes, restaurants and produce markets, all waiting to be explored. The area is also conveniently located near other notable attractions such as the Art Gallery of Ontario, Kensington Market, Bau-Xi Gallery, and Art Square Gallery, which has a cafe with an impressive menu. In August, the Toronto Chinatown Festival features traditional and modern Asian dance troops, bands and musicians. In January–February, join the vibrant Chinese New Year celebration.
