Broke was settled as early as 1824, and became an important staging point on the overland cattle route between the Hunter and Sydney. Dairying, orange orchards and market gardens also featured in the early development of the town. Today, the village is a major wine area that produces soft and distinctive wines including semillon, shiraz, chardonnay and verdelho as well as Italian varieties such as sangiovese, barbera and dolcetto.

The Water of Leith Walkway is a 20-kilometre footpath and cycleway that offers a serene escape through the heart of Edinburgh. Following the city's main river from Balerno to the port of Leith, this gently descending trail immerses you in lush greenery, away from city traffic. It connects several key attractions, including the picturesque Dean Village with its iconic St Bernard's Well, the Royal Botanic Garden, and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. The path is a haven for wildlife, where herons, swans and darting fish are common sights. Popular with walkers, joggers and cyclists, it’s a peaceful, car-free route for exploring the more intimate side of the city. An audio trail is available for a guided experience, and public art like Anthony Gormley's 6 Times statues dot the route.

Växjö cathedral is one of Småland's most visited places. The church is from the 12th century. The cathedral is located close to the shore of Lake Växjö. The imposing twin steeples can be seen over virtually the whole town. The cathedral, large and light, is full of Småland studio art glass and a wander around the building takes us through several of the bible's narratives. The triptych altar screen, sculptured by world-famous glass artist Bertil Vallien, forms the tree of life: from death to life.

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the world's largest arts festival, transforming the Scottish capital each August into a global stage. For three weeks, the city surrenders to a creative explosion where every conceivable space becomes an art venue: from grand theatres and pubs to parks and shipping containers. The programme is vast and open-access, spanning comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and music, featuring everyone from emerging artists to household names. While hundreds of shows are ticketed, the street events provide a constant, free spectacle. It is an overwhelming, uncurated and utterly unique celebration of live performance.
