In 2006, "The White Ring - The Race" took place for the first time. It has long since become a "cult race" with an attractive supporting programme. Participants have to rise to the challenge of 22 kilometres of pistes and 5,500 metres of ascent. "The White Ring - The Race" is thus "the world's longest ski race". Registration takes place in September 2016. Incidentally, the course record is held by former downhill ski racer Patrick Ortlieb with a time of 44:35:07 minutes.
