The Brandhorst collection comprises more than 1,000 works by path-breaking artists of the 20th and 21st centuries such as Cy Twombly, Andy Warhol, Sigmar Polke, Damien Hirst and Mike Kelley. The museum also features contemporary video installations. Admission to Museum Brandhorst is free for children and teenagers up to the age of 18.

Puukohola Heiau is a stunning stone structure visible from the road. Located north of Kohala Coast's resorts, the National Historic Site is home to one of the largest restored heiau (temples) in Hawaii. Heiau were sacred places of worship for Native Hawaiians, and Puukohola Heiau itself was built to fulfill a historic prophecy.

The permanent exhibitions at the Västerbotten Museum delve into the county's ancient history, cultural heritage, settler life and reindeer husbandry. It also houses a remarkable photographic collection of Sune Jonsson, capturing the essence of the Norrland agricultural landscape. In the summer, the outdoor museum at Gammlia buzzes with activity. Historical buildings, relocated from various parts of the county, together with period-costumed cottage hosts and farm animals, create an authentic atmosphere. Three different Sami settlements have been recreated at Gammlia. In the winter, visitors can explore the permanent exhibitions and wander through the grounds.

Perched on the highest point of the island, the Guellala Museum provides visitors with a comprehensive and immersive exploration of the cultural heritage of Djerba. Within its walls, the museum unfolds a rich tapestry of Djerbian life through diverse exhibits, each dedicated to themes ranging from festivities and traditions to myths, legends, pottery, mosaics, and traditional music.
