Voted number 1 for 'Best Massage' for three consecutive years, this spa, seated on the edge of downtown Carlsbad, uses and sells the same alkaline water that helped put its city on the map. It's also aptly located on the Historic site of the original artesian well.

The Old Wastewater Treatment Plant, operational from 1906 to 1967, now showcases the evolution of architecture, technology and water management. It was a key part of Prague's modern sewer system, designed to collect and treat wastewater before discharging it into the Vltava river, significantly improving public health and aiding the city's development. Today, the site, managed by Tovarna z.ú., hosts exhibitions, concerts and themed events, featuring operational steam engines and showcasing the original machinery and craftsmanship. The plant is a National Cultural Monument of the Czech Republic, an anchor point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage, and a UNESCO candidate.

Norsk Folkemuseum is an extensive open-air museum at Bygdøy displaying more than 150 traditional buildings from all around Norway, including the impressive Gol Stave Church from around 1200. Craft demonstration, animal feeding and horse and carriage riding are among the many activities available daily through the summer. An indoor exhibition showcases traditional handicraft items, national costumes, and folk art, and offers exceptional insight into Sami history and culture.

Säfsnäs Homestead Park, often considered Fredriksberg's best-kept secret, is a collection of historic buildings from the Säfsnäs region. These include a smokehouse, barn, pole shed and water mill, with 'Rik-Mats' cabin highlighting the early 1600s svedjefinnar era, associated with the practice of slash-and-burn agriculture. The park also commemorates the ironworks period from the 1720s to the early 1900s, featuring a piece of rail from the narrow-gauge railway. It showcases the 20th century’s sawmill and paper mill history, including a simple mill used for paper production. The park is a starting point for nature trails, including a 3.3 km route around Mellansjön, and hosts various activities like heritage walks and midsummer celebrations.
