South Beach, or SoBe for short, is Miami's most popular destination and is widely regarded as the world's ultimate nightlife hotspot. Even Ibiza can't compete with the vibrant energy of this beachside neighborhood. Situated at the southern end of Miami Beach, SoBe is home to numerous hotels, restaurants, bars, and clubs, all surrounded by a wide expanse of white sand and the soothing sounds of the ocean. During Christmas season, Funchal Bay's amphitheatre is transformed into a giant festive scene illuminated by thousands of twinkling lights. When New Year's Eve arrives, the city's skies are filled with fireworks launched from over 50 different points, a dazzling start to the upcoming year.

The Musée des Automates is a small museum, showing 300 automated dolls from the last two centuries including life-size figures and a full-size re-creation of a street in Montmartre with shops displaying automatons in motion in their windows. In the second museum, Musée des Modèles Réduits, next door, they display models of boats, trains and cars.

At Gantheaume Point you can view dinosaur footprints at low tides: they are believed to be more that 130 million years old. Here you can also witness the vivid red sandstone cliffs spilling into the sea. Relax in Anastasia’s Pool – a natural sea bath, modified by a former lighthouse keeper, to make it easy for his wife, Anastasia, to access. Anastasia suffered badly from arthritis and found relief in the warm water of the Indian Ocean which filled the pool at high tide. The man-made structure has been largely destroyed by a storm in 2014, but the romantic story keeps touching the hearts of locals and visitors alike.
