Cala Moraig is a secluded cove about 84 km from central Alicante, known for its clear waters, calm sea and relaxed atmosphere. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards, and just a 10-minute walk away you’ll find the Mirador de Cala Moraig, a viewpoint with coastal vistas. If you’re planning a visit, there are a few practical points to keep in mind. Access to the beach is free, but parking costs around €15 if you arrive by car. The beach is open to both nude and non-nude bathers, which may not be ideal for families with young children. Reaching the cove also involves a fairly steep slope, which can be challenging for elderly visitors or those with mobility issues. There are no shops or vendors on site, so make sure you bring food, drinks and anything else you might need for the day.

Victoria & Alfred Waterfront — also known as A&F Waterfront - is a hotspot for tourists as well as locals. It is a harbour with exciting architecture that offers a magnificent view of the sea and the mountain range. The area has more than 250 shops, restaurants, pubs, hotels and cafés that will most likely keep you busy all day.

The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MaMa) opened its doors in 2007 and aims to preserve the region's cultural heritage, art and history. It supports locals artists by giving them a platform and invites visitors to take a closer look on contemporary works of art. Not only the exhibitions, but also the building, transformed from a department store to the museum it is today, make this place worth a visit.

This evocative and moving museum commemorates the more than 60,000 non-white inhabitants of District Six who were expelled from this once multi-ethnic neighbourhood when it was declared a ‘whites only’ zone in the 1960s by the Apartheid government. It tells the stories of the forced removals and aims to help reconstruct the community of District Six.
